Help with next keyboard.

So, I had a Filco Majestouch-1 105 key with Cherry MX Blues. Felt great but it was a little too loud for my liking. Am I right in thinking that browns would be the best option for me next?

I type a lot but I also game (Mainly RTS, the odd FPS game). The only other thing I'm debating is to whether I should get a TKL Filco or not. I've wanted a tenkeyless board for ages but I keep getting this feeling saying 'What if I used the numpad more than I thought?' or 'What if I get a TKL board and miss the numpad?' etc.

I have the room for a full-size board but TKL ones look soo nice. Help me decide fellow GH'ers!

If you're not someone who works heavily with the numberpad (I mean honestly if you don't know whether you'll miss it or not, chances are you don't), you can get used to using the number row really easily and be almost equally as efficient. TKL's are nice, but if you really like full-size go for it. I don't mind either but that's my opinion.

Browns should be fine for gaming and typing, it's like the hybrid switch. They're a little bit more quiet, but if you bottom out they're still considerably loud. Just without the click. I think you'll be okay with browns, maybe get some o-rings.

If your thinking about getting a Filco TKL, I'd probably get a Quickfire Rapid and save a tad bit of money (actually it's about half the cost).

I just ordered one with Reds, if you want something quieter than blues than reds or browns would do the trick. If your mostly gaming (any genre of game) you'll be bottoming out while in a game anyway as your not going to try to barely actuate the switch in the middle of a tense gaming session. That's the reason I went with Red, because if I'm going to blow throw that tactile bump while gaming anyway, why not just get rid of it for something buttery smooth? But it's personal preference so I don't know what you would like obviously.  

But like I said, Quickfire Rapid with Browns or Reds sounds like it would fit you the best. Maybe get some o-rings like Sifo said as well, that would quiet it down. I know I have some for when my Quickfire Rapid gets here and if its too loud I'll be using them.

The QuickFire Rapid looks really nice but it's only available in Blacks here in the UK and I really can't get away with the ANSI layout on keyboards so I went for the Filco.

TKL tends to be  little more expensive.

But then you get the advantage of not having a numpad. Which is pretty good.

As a dev, I dont really miss my numpad. Even on my other keyboards i dont use it.
