I hope that the admins will bring back the modifications forum. A lot of interesting stuff was posted there.

Someone posted over at deskthority that they were going to once they sorted some things out. I liked that as well as the pictures forum. So I hope that they do bring them back.

the modifications forum didn't convert as cleanly as we wanted it to so it's hidden for now. pictures is just kind of depressing without any attachments.

to all the brilliant friends who have left us, and all the students who climb on their shoulders.

Any direct links to the old site around going to be broken.  SMF handles URLs quite differently.

The modifications forum is tucked away at the moment.  We'll be rolling it out soon.

im trying to access happy rainbowss lubing guide, but there's an error.

http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?22656-Gallons-of-Spooge-The-Official-happy%20rainbows-Lubricant-Experiment-Thread

is that thread in the modification forum?

That was in r_i_p_s_t_e_r's subforum.

(How childish to add r_i_p_s_t_e_r to the swear filter).

The new URL would be: http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=22656.0

Although clearly that subforum is hidden now.

It's a simple substitution to make when you want to find stuff again. If it's a link to a post, use the thread and post numbers as topic and msg numbers in an URL such as: http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=33000.msg623537#msg623537

It would be fairly easy to add a showthread.php and a showwiki.php that did this for you, but...  ::)
