I want a Ducky logo keycap that will...
« on: Fri, 20 July 2012, 12:07:11 »
I want a Ducky logo keycap that will work with the Shining keyboard. I want a black keycap, with the logo on it that will let the blue led shine through. I intend on using it as my escape key. I think Ducky has the coolest logo out there right now, it's funny because it's a duck but the duck has a serious look on its face, so that makes it a serious logo too. I actually posted this request on the Ducky facebook page and I got a response from them! Hopefully, they will begin to manufacture one soon. I also think it would be awesome if they sent one for free with each keyboard, just like they do the WASD keys.

Hahaha yeah that would be awesome. I wish more companies did things like what when they sent you their keyboard.

is it a troll? or can we really find it there? if so isn't easier for us that you give us the link of the key cap and not only of the site? ^^

I’m also interested getting one. That would look so cool on my Shine.

Is there anywhere that will do this sort of work? I think Keycool might be starting on making custom lasered keycaps for backlit keyboards, but I don't know if it'd be possible to persuade them into making their competitors logo.

We should find a place where these could be made, at which point, the IC and GB can begin in earnest.

Where do Ducky buy their key caps from?  Or do they make them themselves?

'Cause with each Ducky Shine you get spare red WASD keys that show the backlighting, so presumably someone somewhere can make non-black ones.

Now if only you could order custom keys in different colours that show backlighting through ........
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
