Oh my god!

From kbdmania. God knows where these are from, but they are official Cherry Corp for sure. The rounded Arial Bold and the molding artifacts on the bottom are a dead giveaway.

Absolutely brilliant.

My Dad drives a Hyundai - kinda looks like his old Buick.  When my son rented one in a trip we nicknamed our Sonata the "Snota".

Boy Welly, you're all set to learn PhotoShop for real now!!

Well, there isn't a car in that company's stable that doesn't look oddly close to something else, and with a lower-spec engine.

Now where's the keycap from a fake Alps / fake Cherry so that Hyundai label could be put to good use?

I'm bumping this because Das is now shipping Laser etched White Lettering on Black keys so there is more buzz about that technology.   Surprisingly, I found out that the Kinesis keys on my keypad (see sig for link) are laser etched.

So we have from left to right - all essentially new keys and all have been cleaned:

No M13 Black just as a comparison, or do you not have one of those?

Are double shot keys supposed to feel different? I've substituted Cherry double-shots on a keyboard that had Kinesis laser etched for three years, and the feel seems a bit more tight, perhaps less wobble in the key,

In my knowledge they came from China. Maybe Cherry China made them.

It is a 356cl dark gray edition (DGE), special release of 356 line. DGE has a very crazy controller, so it shows awesome repeating rate. I think it may be comparable with keyboards of Omnikey line.

Nice.  It would be even cooler if it said "Big Blue."

Makin' me hungry...

Imagine decorating an entire keyboard with those things (the funny caps, not Big Mac ones specifically).

HAHAHA! I love that pic. Before I used my super-secret Websense buster to see that pic, I already had it in my head to post it in response to your post. You beat me to it.

Only if the kid is alive by 18. I would imagine that heart disease, diabetes, and a world food shortage* would take him down in about the next 5 minutes (if he's still alive).  He'll need a quadruple bypass just for his stomach.  I wonder if he needs help wiping his ass? I'm sure he can't reach it; hell, I'm suprised he can reach his mouth.

I have a blank red one that Webwit sent me on my M13. Goes well with the Trackpoint cap.

Sorry for bumping this thread, but I thought it'd be the best place to ask rather than starting a new thread - where (and why) did the whole red esc key thing come from?  Was it used on old terminal boards for emergencies, or what?

Gotta get my key in before all the ClickClack showoff pics appear.

LOL going to be awhile before those from clickclack show up. Unless some folks live right next to EKB.

It seems that all those esc kesy share the same texture on your picture.
That cherry doubleshot one is closer to orange than the rest.
