Ewww, it has the tiny backspace button. And the enter key is all wonky.
And the spacebar is probably shrunk dramatically to make way for the japanese toggler buttons.

Japanese layout with no Japanese characters?

That's odd.

It's quite common in Japan; as the vast majority of Japanese typists type QWERTY and use Romaji (quasi-phonetic spellings of japanese characters using a Latin alphabet) to create Japanese words through an IME (Input Method Editor).

When writing Japanese, you don't use a lot of spaces.

I'm pretty sure that's how they all do it, albeit by different methods. The alternative is this -

I have been wanting an all 30g, Japanese layout Topre for awhile now! Though I haven't been willing to pay the price to have one shipped to the US. I'm hoping the weirdness keeps the price down, but I'm worried to rarity will counteract that.

The bump is one the S? I don't know about anyone else, but I never rest my finger on the S key when I play a game. I usually just find my way by the Caps Lock key, but if they want to put a bump on some key the W key would make the most sense to me.

A 30g Topre would make a horrible gaming keyboard.

I am interested because I think that 30g would be nice to type on and I think that I can make good use of those extra modifier keys. I am not willing to pay $300+ to find out though, but perhaps somewhere in the 100s.

Hmmm, no Europeans allowed? Or should I message you on Ebay in case I want to bid?

EDIT: Before you go out and calculate shipping costs, I'm still considering whether I want it or not - 30g seems really light for a model F user. Just checking whether the "US only" setting was intended.

I'd rather Topre spend the engineering time on doing something serious instead of milking a decade old design.

I'd hate to hear what you think of Unicomp!

Oh no...what have you done?

He's hinted at it before but nobody actually invited it openly like this.
