Does anyone possibly know when elite keyboards gets their shipments in, i missed the last shipment on the browns and have not gotten a response from their customer support in a week.

Finally got a call from Brian at Elite Keyboards on Friday morning. Seems he has been in Asia all week trying to figure out some supply issues.

I managed to get my order in during the November 10th shipping and he didn't mention when the next shipment would be, but it seems like he is pretty darn busy right now.

Interesting. I wonder what the supply issue is exactly. Diatec out of rubber feet? Cherry's US sales manager taking over in Japan? The possibilities are endless.

The thought of him terrorizing an assembly line of workers making keyboards with a Darth Vader mask, cheap voice changer and plastic lightsaber is oddly amusing.

Or maybe it's because it reminds me of this:

o noes! Seem EKB took the tenkeyless browns off their list. Guess they ain't planning on getting stock any time soon.

They've delisted almost all of the Filcos now. :( All they have is a non-NKRO 104 with blue switches, a NKRO 104 with black switches, and a tenkeyless with blue switches. Well, that and a lone numpad with brown switches.

Has anyone had luck ordering from Taiwan? I'm thinking of waiting until EK is restocked.

I ordered a filco tenkeyless w/ browns from from armygroup over the weekend and today I got a shipping notification and a tracking number. Great success!

Shipping factored in, it cost me about the same as it would have from elitekeyboards. So load up chrome, wade through the mandarin drop down menus as best you can and grab em while they're hot, they might not last.

Oh, and a word of warning. Be extremely careful with the country selection dropdown, which chrome failed to translate for me. The text is in traditional Chinese. I had to match character for character in google translate, which isn't easy. US and UK are pretty similar looking. Hopefully my order gets sent to the right country heh.

Hopefully, it's because he's feeling a little pressure from PCHome and is adjusting stock and prices accordingly.  Just looking at the PCHome thread, there was a lot of money spent there just from GH members alone.

Doubtful.  Most people will not deal with a website they can't read.  Also, last I spoke with Brian, he can't keep keyboards on the shelf.  Things are flying off like hot cakes.

The EK vendor forum was locked several months ago at Majestouch's request.

Most of the info is now outdated, so I just got around to hiding the forum.  AFAIK, EliteKeyboards is not going anywhere...Majestouch just does not want to maintain a vendor forum here anymore.

Elitekeyboards just sent out an email to everyone on the EK newsletter, and to everyone who has recently inquired about Filco keyboards. The first part of the email is just announcing Clickclack's keys, but then there's this:

Quote
A VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE:

FILCO products have been in short supply recently, and this has been due
to our supplier not being able to meet market demand. We're very sorry
for this inconvenience; particularly at this time of the year!

Unfortunately, despite our recent efforts, our supply of FILCO products
will not be improving, so we have taken this turn of events as an
opportunity to search for alternative products which can meet our
customers' demands.

So without beating around the bush too much, in Jan/Feb 2011 EK will
offer a new keyboard line-up with Cherry MX switches!

These boards will replace all FILCO products (and then some:). We've
selected them with much discretion, and believe they will meet or exceed
the quality and functionality of FILCO products and provide a better
value in a very competitive market!

Further details to follow on our website soon. We appreciate your
continued support!

I just noticed this on the EliteKeyboards website under the "About Us" section here:

http://www.elitekeyboards.com/about.php

EliteKeyboards is owned and operated by Maineko LLC based in Diamond Bar, California USA in the county of Los Angeles and is the sole distributor of Topre, Leopold, and Diatec "FILCO" mechanical switch keyboards in North America [All these names are registered trademarks of their respective owners!]

So it looks like the Leopold brand keyboards are the Cherry MX switch-based boards they are bringing in.
