You know, that's what I like about this place here, the free-spiritedness (which, I hope, is a word). It really takes a lot to anger iMav. OK, the S/N can be a bit low at times, which is not ideal - but if that's what it takes to maintain free speech, so be it. As they say about democracy, it's a lousy form of government, but it's the best we have...

Ripster just hates any other website that has a keyboard subforum other than geekhack, and if it has a sticky or wiki explaining actuation points incorrectly, thats even more ripster hatred points.

Its a forum for computer overclocking, but a good amount of members there are prepubesent teens that still need to vent some hormones. Ideally its ment for the discussion of computer parts and gear, but due to the age distribution its got a heavy undertone towards gaming.

I'm fairly one-track (Kinesis, Alphagrip, Rollermouse, Datahand, Colemak, and some associated ergo and mod stuff). I know my place. english is a horrible pidgin mashup with no sensible rules for pronounciation. it just happens to be somewhat easy to learn and simple enough to use.

I worked 3 years as a technical assistant in the engineering industry. Developing testing methods was one of my jobs. The ripometer is as scientific as it can get!

HardForum doesn't seem to excel at anything AFAIK.

Well, there is always something to improve. Even the best testing method. The ripometer can conveniently be done with all day instruments, and yields significantly accurate reproducable results. To improve it in accuracy is done with high costs to convenience. Beeing too precise is also an indication to people who cannot deal with numbers.

Additionally, it wont get more accurate unless you rip the switches off the board and put it into one of those for testing. So you can make the force-way diagrams, cherry provides.

If you do it, its really a ripometer.
