Where are Metallic Blue Filcos?
« on: Tue, 07 August 2012, 09:06:36 »
I am still hunting around for what could potentially be my first mechanical keyboard. A lot of people point out the Filco Majestouches as solid keyboards, so I decided to take a look. I saw on a particular video on the interwebs that the keyboard comes in a metallic blue option, and I have to admit: they're looking sick!

Unfortunately, they don't seem to be in stock anywhere. Does anyone know why, or better yet, do you have any idea of when they might come back?

Unfortunately the Metallic Blue version was a limited edition keyboard so it may be hard to track one down.

Have spray gun, will travel.

Have been seriously considering getting some grey/blue dyesubs for my own personal Filco (modded to clears, currently wearing Cherry doubleshots, but am getting tired of the feel although I love the look) in which case I very well may sand down the case and paint it.  I mean, I've already destroyed the "collector" value of it, might as well make it awesome.  Or maybe I'll get some weird color dyesubs like orange or something and do a color never actually released by Diatec like copper orange or something.
Filco Majestouch-2 with Cherry Corp. doubleshot keys - Leopold Tenkeyless Tactile Force with Wyse doubleshots - Silicon Graphics 9500900 - WASD V1 - IBM Model M 52G9658 - Noppoo Choc Pro with Cherry lasered PBT keycaps - Wyse 900866-01 - Cherry G80-8200LPBUS/07 - Dell AT101W - several Cherry G81s (future doubleshot donors) (order of current preference) (dang I have too many keyboards, I really only need two)
