Cherry Keyboard Keycaps

I'm confused. Are the keycaps on a Cherry Keyboard the same as other MX boards (R1, R2, R3, etc.)?

Can you clarify what you're asking?

An answer to what I think your question is:

Certain Cherry keys tend to be incompatible with modern, standard-layout keyboards like Filcos and Leopolds.  Typically the Caps Lock, space bar, and modifiers have off-center mounts and don't fit.  Thus people mod them or buy moogle kits.

This answers part of my question.  I have many keyboards, but have never owned a Cherry.  So yesterday I ordered a G80-3000LQCEU-0:

Cherry boards are flatter than other boards.  I also want to know if I will have any trouble replacing the 37 character keys.

That board will be totally universal, except the caps lock and space bar. Depending on what type of set you are looking to replace the stock caps it may not be an issue as some come with Cherry compatible keys for those. If you are only replacing the alphas, keep in mind Cherry profile is lower than that found on Filco etc. I have only seen a couple of Cherry profile alpha only set and all sold by imsto.
Of course you could just do the most sensible thing and replace the stock lasered keys with better Cherry oem doubleshots.

Thanks...  That's exactly the info that I was seeking.
