What cameras do you shoot your keyboards with?
« on: Wed, 22 August 2012, 04:01:23 »
Now that you've got a shiny new keyboard that is totally tricked out (according to yourself) you'd want to show it to the world.

What do you use to shoot them pretty keyboard pictures?

I use my Sony Nex-5. It's the only camera I have.
It works great, but I also know that a compact will give me more depth of field (i.e. the whole keyboard is in focus instead of a wide strip)

I use a Rebel XT with a 50mm f/1.4 Nikor F mount stuck on there with an adapter, obviously... pretty ghetto, but the image quality is more than acceptable.
Good feeling of oneness.

To help save on time, I usually just use my cellphone camera to take pictures of my keyboards. However I will start taking some more pictures with my Canon EOS Rebel T3 once I can find the time.

i'm getting my lighting set up in the cheapo home product shot studio. i need to drop by staples for a bit more seamless paper, and i have a cheap-ish tripod on the way, finally. expect more cap and keyboard shots soon!
