Changing the ALPS on an ALPS Board?

As you probably have heard, Matias.ca will soon release its new boards and switches.
Do you know if its possible to mod an "old" ALPS Board with those switches without desoldering?
What is required for changing the alps on an alps board?

Depending on the ALPS switches in question, I believe you may be able to change just the sliders.
