...If only the mac co. made a mini USB cable like the new iphone 5 cord i saw on ilounge i think it would match the greynwhite aesthetics of that kb perfectly:

I know ^_^

I just want one of them as well. The HHKB seems quite nice as well though and if I run into an opportunity to obtain one without breaking the bank I'd be hard pressed not to snag it. They're completely different boards but they're both one's I'd like to get.

They are completely different, same actuation force but Topre is nothing like any Cherry switch.

Smooth and subtle :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

How heavy is the HHKB compared to other tenkeyless boards, such as Filco for example?

I really love my HHKB Pro 2.  Which I suspected would be the case.  What really surprised me was how much more I like the action of the keys on this board over the RF103U I own.  Partly, I would guess it's the all 45g weighting, but for whatever reason(s) I definitely prefer it to my 103U variable.

I just tried topre for the first time a couple weeks ago. They are.... squishy but solid on either end of the actuation. I'm not sure how I feel about them but they are def worth trying. Buy a topre from somewhere with a good return policy so you try it out and take it back if you dont like it.

I started with browns and loved them. Then I tried blues and swore I'd never love another. Then I tried topre and will never love another. Next stop, buckling spring.

See I don't find them squishy at all. Everyone has a different experience so everyone should try them!

Grats on the purchase!
I have an exact same one, but haven't given it enough time to learn the function keys.
I remember liking its Backspace key placement though =)

Just do it bro. It was the first one I lusted after. Ended up buying two different MX switch keyboards and finally bought this one and wish I had just bought it first. Nothing beats your first love.
