Getting an SSD for a Laptop soon, or a new Laptop with an SSD, What is cheaper? What about hybrids?

Anyone have a list of relyable companies.

Shouldn't the price of SSD drop even more next year also?

If you want a good closeout deal, Samsung 830 256GB ~$155
The new version is the 840, and it's up to you to figure out if you want to go Pro or not on that one, but the price will be less interesting.

Crucial M4s are also nice and priced similarly to the 830's and sometimes cheaper.

As with all tech I expect SSD prices to continue dropping and rising as the tech matures and is replaced by newer designs.  Smaller sizes will disappear since they will no longer make enough money to bother.  64GB is not long for this world.

Almost forgot, after market SSD will be cheaper.
