Might send this link to my brother so he can finally buy his own... he has been using my QuickFire Rapid for the past two weeks.

I'm confused the picture on the ad is a Quickfire Rapid but the title says Quickfire pro and the description is of the pro model with gaming cluster backlighting

The manufacturer number "SGK-4000-GKCL1-US" comes up as Rapid with blues.
I suppose you could take screens of your order and argue that you ordered a pro once you get the board since it doesn't say rapid anywhere.

I'd be afraid of quite the opposite. That I'd order the Rapid and it'd come as the Ione-made CM QF Pro... :\

Shame this is blues only, looking for a cheapish way to try some reds! Good price still.

I think it's the Rapid. They've got the Pro listed as well for 84.99 if you look at search results for Cooler Master keyboard. http://www.officemax.com/catalog/search.jsp?searchText=Search+by+Keyword+or+Item+%23&freeText=coolermaster+quickfire

I'm not familiar with the pro. What don't you like about it?

I have the Rapid now, and quite like it for the price I got it for. I'm considering this deal for a second at home kb.

The QF Rapid is basically like a rebranded Filco, it's made by Costar and has similar build quality. The Pro seems to be made by Ione, a company that has had quality control issues in the past with their boards.

Pretend your desk is a keyboard.  That's what typing on the Cherry MX red feels like.

I just got mine in the mail today and it is the Rapid.

I already have a blue board though, so I'm not really sure why I got it. Just a sucker for a good deal I guess. Now if only I could get a decent red or brown board.

Did it come with the mountain of branding seen on the older Quickfire Rapids?

Regardless of branding I put my foot forward and purchased one for the hell of it. Now, gentlemen, we wait.

with the mismatched SKU and product image, i'd probably suggest taking it into a local store and going insane to try to get a refund or partial credit or something.  stuff like that is pretty easy to accomplish if you're forceful enough.

I just cancelled my order by calling their support number (1-800-283-7674) due to the backorder. Great price for the board but I'm not one to play the waiting game.

UPDATE: I was emailed a little while ago informing me they couldn't cancel my order because it actually shipped and wasn't on backorder! FedEx has an anticipated delivery date of tomorrow afternoon, their warehouse must be super close for ground shipping to arrive that quickly.

I think this is where you can find Black/Browns?

http://slickdeals.net/f/5372390-40-00-off-of-select-Cooler-Master-mechanical-keyboards-Shipping

Only browns on there are spanish browns, but it's a pretty sweet deal for those who are fans of black switches

Keyboard arrived today (quick backorder, eh?).

It is a Rapid with logos, logos, everywhere.  Nothing that some paint and new keycaps can't fix.

Nice feel to the blues, however.

What were you planning on painting it, with what type of paint?

There's a write-up on prep and whatnot floating around somewhere, but I used 3m undercarriage coating for mine.  I know most any spray paint will do with proper preparation.

In fact, I'm debating on buying one of the black qfr that are $40 off right now and trying it again with a matte black or some such.
