[WTB] CM Storm QFR Controller
« on: Wed, 19 September 2012, 03:49:25 »
Just trying my luck.

The one in mine had a non conducting pin, making 1 row of keys unusable.
I did a blue wire rework, but after a day, the pin died altogether. Suspecting a failed controller.

Does anyone has a broken QFR and willing to part with the controller?

Keep your head up. If all goes well, we should see some custom ones down the pipe sometime. If you don't get one of those, maybe someone who does may let theirs go.

...Also, when the phantoms start shipping I imagine there will be cannibalized remnants of QFRs scattered around the classifieds.

Oh man I wish I would have seen this earlier. I just threw away a QFR PCB and controller yesterday.

I salvaged everything I wanted from it. I didn't think anyone would want them :(
Hey actually I forgot I saved the pcb and plate, but I am 100% sure I threw away the controller cause I knew I'd never use it again.
.....well if anyone wants a pcb or plate

LOL... I have had 5 plates and PCBs from Wyse terminal boards for a few weeks.  Still have a stripped Dolch too from months ago.

If that's what you're looking for, I'm only asking you cover shipping (Assuming you're in Malaysia)

$20 for Priority (6-10 days)
$7 + Packaging (another $2) for First Class (6-10 weeks :P)

As for the controller, to the best of my knowledge it works, I used my QFR for about 15 minutes before the costar stabs drew me insane so I destroyed it in glorious fashion to allow a GH60 to rise from the ashes (note: I didn't really set anything on fire, the controller should be good)
