Can't post in Classifieds
« on: Mon, 24 September 2012, 19:15:32 »
How many posts do you have to have before you can post in the Classifieds, I know a lot of forums have a base # of posts but I can't find any info here or in the Wiki. I only want to post a WTB colemak caps.

60, in orange text: http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=33429.msg629024#msg629024

But you can reply to existing threads therein.

@Hellhammer Welcome to Geekhack!
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Thanks Rowdy!

Is it normal to have to use a verification for every post? Is this only until you hit 60 posts?

Haven't seen that before - I have never had to verify a post.

Might be a question for one of the moderators ...

Yeah, it's normal in the beginning, I think after 10-20 posts you no longer have to.

If you're new, it's always good to read the stickied rules/welcome threads in each subforum :)

My signature hasn't changed since 2012. I should really update it.
