Keyboardlover's Grab Bag O' Fun!
« on: Tue, 25 September 2012, 18:03:27 »
Hi Folks!

Sorry I haven't been too active lately. Lots of stuff in RL keeping me busy. Also I must admit I've been trying to save money and as we know GH isn't the best place to browse if that's your agenda :D

What I have here is a grab bag of stuff I really don't need. In here you'll find various keycaps including dyesubs, lasered and doubleshot as well as a mostly complete clear keycap set and a Ducky keychain, various springs and some other stuff.

Price is $100 shipped, CONUS only. Thanks for your interest!

Cheers
\KL

**EDIT**

In order to calm down some of the whining, here is a list of SOME of the stuff that will be included:
  • A TON of MX Clear springs and switch casing tops
  • A Ducky Keychain
  • 2 Doubleshot SP ANY KEY keycaps
  • *NEW* Full set of Rosewill 104 keycaps. I believe they are ABS.
  • 11 Corrected Black on Blue dyesubbed "Backspace" keycaps - group buy leftovers
  • A MOSTLY complete clear keycaps set...I believe it is missing 3 or 4 keycaps from either the number of F row
  • A full GH Special Keycap set from WASD
  • A blue on white/beige thick PBT duesub NUMPAD ONLY set
  • A black on white/beige think ABS Doubleshot (Cherry Corp) NUMPAD ONLY set
  • Various types/sizes of spacebars

Please don't threadcrap. If you have questions, PM me!

Proper photographs or at the very least a complete description would be nice.  You gotta work for your $100.

Proper photographs, i.e., not in baggies, so we can see how they look.  Just sayin.

My original comment was meant as a helpful suggestion and a good-natured jab.  I'm not saying your stuff isn't worth $100, just that you should at least say exactly what is for sale.

You guys must not be familiar with the concept "grab bag".

Anyway, I feel strongly that I've provided enough information for someone to gauge whether or not this is worth $100 (frankly I personally think it's worth more). Thanks for the bumps though!

Is that clear keycaps set completed as 104-keyset? If so I'll take it.

I'm interested but also would like confirmation if any of the sets are complete sets. From the bag pics, doesn't look like any of them are complete sets except maybe the the clear POM caps. I also see some springs in there, and maybe some mx white switches? Do you know what springs those are?

Can you just spend 3 minutes to pull the out of the bag for the pic? You don't even have to list every cap. But really, if you can't even do that, then you obviously don't care enough to sell them.

You could look at it positively and realise that there is a lot of interest in what you have to sell. Potential buyers (myself included) are just suggesting that we would be a lot more interested if they knew a bit more about what they are paying $100 for. Since you personally feel the items inside are worth more than $100, I would think just snapping a few pictures to help sell the items faster is a relatively painless thing to do IMO.

The answer is in the OP - it's ALMOST complete. Missing a few caps ( I believe all from the number or F rows).

Wow, thanks for all the threadcrapping. I thought GH was a moderated forum now?
The only one threadcrapping would be you. Everyone else stated their interest for more clarification about your goods you are selling.
$100 for goods you only have a mere idea about what they are? GLWS...

"Mere idea?" Does anyone read the freaking OP anymore?

Show Image

We defined "threadcrapping" at least a year ago. "Threadcrapping" specifically refers to anyone who posts anything in someone's classified thread that could prevent the sale i.e. complaining about the price, complaining about the description, what is being sold, etc. The OP is clear, if you have further questions PM me. Many others have done that already.

Wow, what a great place the moderated GH has turned into!

you must have missed the 555 pages of ragnarock's posts being crapped on.
that was true threadcrapping

this is just people trying to get an understanding of what you're selling
Dropping $100 on a grab bag without really highlighting anything worth of value is a bit difficult.
Like "partial Cherry DS", or "CC Arrow Keys" included.  You know, eye catching items that make people believe the value of the grab bag

just saying clear caps + ducky chain doesn't really help sell your product.

I consider keyboardlover to be somewhat ethically higher than the norm of a person. If he says he believes the package is worth more than $100, it probably is.

This would be a good newb package for custom keys for the money.

If I had the cash i wouldn't have an issue purchasing it, do want DS keys.

Just because there's $100 worth of stuff in a bag doesn't mean it's worth $100 to one person.  That one person would then need to go through additional effort to derive whatever value they can out of it by reselling a portion.  This is why people want to know what's in the bag.

Updated the OP with more info to hopefully ease some of the whiners' pain.

I have also added in a full set of new Rosewill keycaps to sweeten the deal.

I consider keyboardlover to be somewhat ethically higher than the norm of a person. If he says he believes the package is worth more than $100, it probably is.

This would be a good newb package for custom keys for the money.

Thanks weenis.

Yea, I mean I figure the clear keycap set is probably easily worth like $40. And the Ducky keychain - are they even being sold anymore? I don't remember how much I paid for it but I would think they were at least $30 or so. So let's say that brings you to like $70 which doesn't include all the other stuff: springs, space bars, dyesub/doubleshot keycaps. That's easily over $100. And now I'm throwing in a full set of Rosewill keycaps.

Because THAT is what a ****ing nice guy I am. And I get threadcrapped on.

For shame Geekhack. FOR SHAME!!!

KL, you paid $10 shipped for that ducky keychain.

Seriously, I have never seen such a non-descriptive classifieds listing.  It is almost good enough for Jay Leno's Headlines.
