Best CC color match for Topre EK orange caps
« on: Fri, 05 October 2012, 15:35:08 »
Hey all.  Looking to buy the Non-Printed Keycaps for Topre Realforce 87U/104U (Orange) from EK (http://elitekeyboards.com/products.php?sub=access,toprekeys&pid=xf0100kt5n)
Wondering if Creamsicle or Hack Orange is a better match.  Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks.

Trying to color match is really hard.  Off by even a little bit and your eye will immediately see it.  That's why I'd put my vote for a complimentary color, like blue or black.

MagicMeatball determined that the "Orangesicle" was close but not a perfect match.

Thanks for replies all.  Think I'm going to try and get complimentary colors instead.

I've always thought that blue and orange go well together.

Although blue and red are opposite ends of the visible light spectrum.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
