FS/FT: Cherry doubleshots, black-on-white w/ 1.5x modifiers
« on: Wed, 17 October 2012, 10:01:23 »
they're all gone!

Also have a few black and beige Cherry coiled PS/2 cables as can be seen on the Filco if anyone is interested.  I'm fairly convinced they're indestructible after taking a pair of vice grips to one for about five minutes.

I purchased these a few weeks ago with the intent of trying out that whole retrobright thing and then listing the additional sets here, but never really got around to it.  Since I'll be moving in the next week or so and won't get to this for some time yet, I figured I'd list them their present condition.

I received seven sets total, the whitest of which I threw onto the Filco at the top of the image.  I'd say that set can be considered "white" without any complaints, so hopefully that will give you an idea as to the extent of the discoloration of the other keys.  I did not clean/wipe down these sets either so there's a bit of that going on as well, dusty grimey stuff you'd expect to find on old keyboards.  I probably should have wiped them down before taking a picture, but oh well!

The numpads are pretty heavily shined, as one might expect, but the rest of the keys range from unused to only very slightly shined up.  There may be pen marks on the sides of some of the keys, perhaps a slight few scuffs or abrasions -- just a few things I noticed while looking at them.  Most of the keys are fine and that only applies to a few of them, but I just want to make it clear these aren't perfect sets or whatever.  If you're interested in one and would like more specific details, I can provide that information upon request.  Just ask!

There are a few keys which are the wrong profile, incompatible, or missing selected on the image, but you probably already know about that.  Del End PgDn and numpad - (minus) are the incorrect profile, numpad 0 and + are only 1x, the right shift is short, the caps lock is off-center, the space bar is 7x and the modifiers are 1.5 versus 1.25x.  I think that covers it.

Someone offered $25 shipped for a set last night and I agreed, so hopefully that sounds fair and we can start there.  I'll be heading to the post office in a few hours so I could ship these today.

Also, if you happen to have the incompatible keys I selected in the image from another Cherry set, I'd be interested in trading for those.

they're all sold, thanks for the quick response & payment to everyone.  also, if you happen to be wondering why it looks like someone packaged the keys, then ripped apart the bubble wrap like a wild animal and threw it into a box, it's because that is exactly what happened.  i have the worst luck at barely fitting things into boxes, i guess.  :)
