How hard to replace key on ducky shine? Never desoldered/soldered before.

My spacebar's keyswitch is broken, and I need to replace it. Any tips on how I would go about doing so? Any videos...anything? I have no idea what I'm doing, but I wanna use my keyboard again :( Also, I'm thinking of replacing it with a black switch, as I can't get a green switch to replace it with. Ideas on that? The board itself is blue...what do y'all think about a good spacebar switch?

Ducky Shine are plate-mounted, so you would have to disassemble the keyboard, desolder the switch, solder in a new switch, and reassemble the keyboard.

Or put a black spring into a blue switch :)

(Still need to desolder as you cannot remove the switch top with plate-mounted).

Huh...any guide on this? I don't get how doing the black spring would be any different (though it might now be). Like I said, still new to this xD I don't want to screw this up =D

You said you wanted black instead of blue, as you couldn't find green.  Green is just stiffer blue, so putting a black spring inside a blue switch effectively makes a ghetto green switch.

Ahhh gotcha. Any lessons around on replacing a key in a ducky shine? I can't seem to find too much :-/

I played around with my Razer BWU with the POM keycaps I just got recently after abandon the BWU in my cupboard over a year and tragedy occurred.
I pulled out the switch stem and broken the switch. I then opening up the board and reach the PCB but my plan to fix it stopped there. I seriously having a problem to remove the LED's solder on the switch. The legs are so close together and the solders are small...

Currently trying to source for some desoldering wick to see if that can help me in the task...
