Logitech G9x for $44.95 on Amazon
« on: Mon, 05 November 2012, 21:22:50 »
Seeing as how G9x's are super popular here in these boards, I find the lack of any mention of this listing disappointing. I hereby declare this an absolute FAIL by the geekhack community! But, it's alright, since I'm here to help you guys out.

Amazon apparently has a TON of these, going for $45, through "Fulfilled by Amazon" programs, here: http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Gaming-Mouse-Call-Duty/dp/B005S0KHIC/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1352171622&sr=8-2&keywords=g9x

Granted. These are the Call of Duty: MW3 branded G9x's, but... $15 off (the regular G9x's are going for $59.99) at the cost of getting MW3 logos is a pretty good deal, I think.

And... apologies if this has already been mentioned before somewhere. ^-^

$45 is a good deal for this?  I picked up an original G9 for $23 after rebate in 2009.  No crummy branding, either.

I <3 the G9, but if someone's just looking for a backup I'd wait until they're lower.

Dude... that was in 2009. Plus, waiting for rebates???

When you consider the alternatives ($60 for the original), $45 isn't bad. But. Whatever. If people think it's not a great buy, I'll still enjoy my purchase.

I mean... if people want to pay the extra $15 to not have a logo... that's their prerogative. I don't give a fuk.

Why people are trying to "rain on my parade", I have no idea. This is not a parade. I'm not trying to do a parade. I'm just trying to help people.

don't worry i'm sure that branding will wear off after five hours of use since hahah ha a ha ha

or you could probably immediately call for a free warranty replacement and get one without branding, since every logitech mouse i've had has died after almost exactly a year (on my fourth free  mx518/g500 replacement now, thanks logitech!)

This is a strange thread... well a deal is a deal to someone if they're interested. My G5v2 has been going strong for about 4-5 years now.

I know it is still possible for some combination of rebates to possibly bring the price down, but getting a mouse for barely over 50% of retail is definitely a good deal. I have been on the market for a new mouse for a month or two and this is by far the cheapest price I have seen for one of these. 2009 prices are not the norm.

Also guys, the branding is only on the plastic attachments that you can change to suit your grip, so if you already have an old one and need to replace it you can still use the old, unbranded grips - or even grab the extra, unused one from a friend if you both don't want the same one.

I's a great price imo. Personally been heavily using the G9x for a little over 2 years and the only issue I have is that the skates finally need to be replaced soon.
