So I can use yours then? If you could pm me a link to it or failing that I'll send you my email and we can get it updated before anyone puts an order in for the other one. :P

Also, is that the Pikachu image you're going to use? It doesn't match the three starters...

And maybe the pokeball could have thinner lines as well.

Again, they're all renders from the original gb. I agree they could be better and will make it so. I'm sure Kellybear could find us a better Pikachu etc. She was the one that procured them initially.

Okay so I got images for the ghosts from Kmiller, the only difference from the ones shown in the OP and his is that all of their eyes are pointing in the same direction. I could:

Flip 2 of them so they're half and half looking either way.
Leave them all the same direction (currently looking left, could change it to right)
Get a couple more images from someone to get it where we have one ghost looking each direction.

Thoughts?

Maybe you should post a mockup of the ghosts I sent you, so people can get a general idea of what you have. Like I mentioned, I can move the eyes pretty easily if there is a decision to change them from all facing the same way.

I was looking at the Umbrella Corp logo as well, one problem is that it's red/white on white caps, meaning a big black border would have to be incorporated into the logo, or perhaps change the white to a light-grey, but I'm not sure how that would turn out.

Just some thoughts.

My plan is to put a black border like you mentioned, around the outside edge and where the gaps are in this vector:

In addition, Kmiller linked me Imsto's taobao with more choices on legends. I definitely want to add yoshi, navi, mushroom head, and a couple others. I might talk to him about doing a separate group buy for SC2 team logos like that sweet slayers logo, but I digress.

The keys I purchased for this group buy were all row 5, but if you can give me strong justification for having a certain key on a certain row, I'll possibly include it in the novelty key group buy I'm going to start soon.

Also I can't see the first image akujiwa posted, Squirtle looks cool but... not cool enough to make it? I dunno.

I really think the ghosts with the eyes pointing in different directions would be great on R1 for arrow keys. That would be amazing.

That's why I put them all the same direction for R4, I figured there would be no reason to have different facing eyes on the top rows.

Again, I didn't order any row 1 keys, but that sounds like a great idea for a future set.

Oh, I see that picture now. The problem with that is whether the image would look good on a white background instead of black. I really need to get CS6 on this computer so I can illustrate those things quickly, but the contrast is going to be low and all that detail (grungification) on the image is just going to come out weird.

Coolio, a couple of days and we're already over 300 keys. Should be just about right for the deadline. Putting up the Pac Man keys now. Pac man is going to be an esc key without the dots, but you'll survive right? Anyone who has ordered and wants me to update it let me know via PM please.

Dave out.

Why no dots?

Dots and blanks would totally make this an awesome top row.  Could we buy dots and blanks individually?

For that matter, could we just buy blank keycaps as-is?  WASD can zap some of the blanks to make dots good enough to work with the dye-sub Pac-Man and ghosts.

Can we, huh, can we?

Deep down I'm tempted to get the MLP sets :D

Why are there pictures of cartoon horses on the Multi-Link Protocol (X.25) keys?  :))

On a serious note, I don't understand the Minecraft images.  The first one looks like a steak to me.  Can someone younger tell me if these are keys that my two teenage Minecraft playing sons will be excited to have?

Ok, thanks very much.  Apparently I need to learn more; I expected that to be iron or some such.

I'd ask for some cool Zork keys for me, but they are already come stock on every keyboard!

Thanks again,

Yeah if you want to change your order send me a PM.

@ Samwise, I thought about that, missing the dots is kinda lame, but if I included it, it'd be $3 for a key with a dot in the middle... is that really worth it? I'd be willing to put it separate so people could buy however many they wanted to go with the set, but the price seems a bit over the top for such an unoriginal legend.

I'll think about the blanks, that kinda messes up my counts and formulas a bunch.

Not sure why you think the MLP keys are on modifiers, they're not. I think that's a joke though.

My comments about the MLP keys were 100% attempted humor.

Does Melissa have more blanks in the correct plastic?  If so, I could get some and ask Weyman to zap them to create lower cost dots and "eaten dots" (blanks).

She should absolutely have more, but its possible I wouldn't need any, depending on whether we get clost to 2000 or not. If we don't ill probably have imsto print something on the rest for me to sell as leftovers, but I wouldn't be opposed to adding a few of those to go with. I still think its lame to put a dot on a key or sell blanks though.

Hmm, confirmation emails aren't something I think I can do with the form, but I would like to get an email confirmation system up eventually. Till then, the OP contains a relatively up to date list of buyers. I'll go and update it again now. Once I start sending out invoices, I'll notify everyone and if you don't get one obviously let me know.

Indeed there will be more, also adding Skyrim logo and SC2 logo to the list. I should have plenty of time over this week since its thanksgiving break to get this a lot better organized. Thanks for the patience, this is a lot different than the group buys I'm used to. Normally when I'm at this stage everything is set in stone.

The keys I purchased for this group buy were all row 5, but if you can give me strong justification for having a certain key on a certain row, I'll possibly include it in the novelty key group buy I'm going to start soon.

That's what the original design was. If we did that it would basically double the cost of the set from having to order a really low quantity of backspace keys.

Well if you want to bring your "facts" and "reality" into the discussion...

Good to know it was at least considered.  Like the dye-sub onto black keys concept.

Thanks for your considered response.  Really, thanks for that.

I'd have to order mod keys, but its such a good idea I just might!

:P

Thanks for reminding me to get on this group buy, I've got literally 2 weeks of undergrad left so I've been focusing on that. Going to get invoices/paid shipments for my polish keys sent out today and then hopefully sit down and get the last revisions to the available keys set up.
