Day9 Keycap set released
« on: Sun, 18 November 2012, 23:44:58 »
http://www.jinx.com/p/day_9_tv_keycap_set.html?catid=&s=friends,day9

At 20 bucks for 6 caps it's pretty steep though... Probably buy it just to support DayJ though.

There's also a single key for 10 bucks... http://www.jinx.com/p/day_9_custom_keycap_set.html?catid=&s=friends,day9

I'm going to guess it's doubleshot ABS. Unless it's pad printed... Don't really see them caring for the cost of dyesub PBT.

My signature hasn't changed since 2012. I should really update it.

They are double shots from SP. I tried to snipe some extras directly from SP, but since I guess they were commissioned by a company the extras were not available for public purchase. I did find a % off coupon and ordered from Jinx even though I thought the mark up was just stupid high on both the key price, and the shipping. At least I know Day[9] should get a sizable chunk of change from these, and at over $5 for shipping ಠ╭╮ಠ I know Jinx made some money too. The real ripoff at Jinx though is the one key "[9]" for $10+shipping.

I did get the keys in the mail today and I think they are pretty cool. Still experimenting on where to put them on one of my boards, but it'll work itself out or transform something into unicorn vomit.

I would have snapped these up a year ago.  I'm finding myself less and less interested in following the Starcraft scene these days though.

Thanks for posting, and I love your avatar. :D

The 9 key for 10 is similar in price to TL cap isn't it? Just wondering. I would get them but I'm still trying to figure out how to match to a keyboard

I really wish the single [9] cap was the same price as the TL caps. I agree with everyone else, the whole set is meh and the single key price is absurd. With shipping included, I could get 3 TL caps for one Day9 one pre-shipping. I'd just buy it to help Day9 out really.

A bit pricey TBH.

Maybe if it were cheaper I would be interested but I rather have a TL doubleshot anyway.

Are the TL ones doubleshot right now? I have one but I never noticed on way or another.

Yep the TL horse logo keys are SP doubleshot (and were made here on GH as a group buy before TL started selling them btw).
