WTB set of red keycaps!
« on: Sat, 08 December 2012, 19:52:40 »
Not sure what this set is called, so I have a picture of the ones I want LINK:http://i.imgur.com/wPiURl.jpg

oh_hai_dan had this set and posted it to /r/mechanicalkeyboards, I asked if I could buy and he said here would be a good place to post and get some responses. I apologize if this isn't the correct way to post or something, it's my first time. Any advice or people to ask to purchase these would be awesome  ;D thanks!

That looks like a Red Alert 2.0 set. There is an original RA set up for auction in the Classifieds right now. The original RA set is what inspired the set you posted a picture of.

WTB threads belong in the Classifieds where you can't create posts until you have a total of 60 posts throughout the forums. I wouldn't suggest spam posting to reach the threshold either as mods could frown upon such behavior. Good luck in your new endeavor!

Not a problem chap, getting 60 posts will be simple. :) You already have 4! Some of us get a little carried away, and we have a few more than 60 posts... :))

There is also the Klaxon group buy in the works right now. It initially started as a sort-of second second run to that Red Alert set, but now it's a bit uncertain which way it will go. If you have some patience, you can probably get into that. If not, then classifieds is where you want to go.

That being said, you don't have to rush to get those 60 posts. Stay and chat awhile. There are some interesting things and people around here, and it's not hard to reach that amount. Welcome to geekhack! Hope you enjoy your stay.

Yeah I'm currently trying to figure out what I want from that Klaxon groupbuy. Although I'm not quite sure what this means(sorry for being such a noob)

Base:

10 - $70
20 - $55 <- WoR x26
30- $45
40 - $36
50 - $30 <- RoW x63
75-   $27
100 - $25

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I really want my base with WoR and everything else to be RoW.

They come in parts. So you'd be looking at the $55 there for the base set that you want, then you would get the RoW modifier set, which would be another $55 (prices are at the current tier, this means they can drop if more people order). You're aware that a setup like that would be the inverse of the picture you posted?

Also, what kind of keyboard are you looking to put this on?

PM sent

But if you want it to look most like that picture, then you want red text on white keys (RoW) base and white on red keys (WoR) mods.

If you want WoR base and RoW mods, then my pricing I PMed you is inaccurate at this moment.
