Ugly Cars
« on: Thu, 13 December 2012, 08:51:17 »
What do you think are the most hideous vehicles on the road these days?

Here's my pick of some ugly vehicles.

First off, there's the GM "Dustbuster" minivans (Chevy Lumina/Pontiac Trans-Sport) from 90's:

See a bit of a resemblance here?

Then there's Nissans. I'd say they're the leader right now in putting out hideous vehicles. I'll start off with their own ugly minivan--the Nissan Quest:

Then there's the Nissan Cube:

And don't forget crossovers--or even worse: Luxury crossovers! Enter the 2007 Lincoln MKX:

Got any other ugly vehicles you'd like to share?

Wrong, this is the ugliest car ever.

And there's this lump of ugly and its spiritual twin:

I have to completely disagree about the Porsche Panamera. I don't think Porsche has ever made an ugly car.

I have to completely disagree about the Porsche Panamera. I don't think Porsche has ever made an ugly car.

I think, considering the motors that are in it, that Porsche expected people just to think their eyes were blurred by the speed.  Cause it's hideous looking.

I think all the cars you posted are hideous looking with the exception of the Porsche, and I think the Panamera looks absolutely nothing like the Crossfire. But to each their own. I think the Panamera is sexy personally.

And basically every BMW made after the mid/late 90's. Way to ruin a perfectly good car.

Same with Mercedes. Used to make some of the best looking cars in the world, then merged with Chrysler: and started churning out crap like this:

WTF?

That Fiat is the first actually ugly car shown here.

The former Soviet Union should be granted an exception - virtually all of their cars were ugly.

"However, even though I was born in the Mesozoic, I do know what anyone who wants to reach out to young people should say: Billionaires took your money. They took your chance to buy a home. They took your chance at a good education. They stole your opportunities. Billionaires took the things you want in life. If you really want those things, you have to take them back.
That's the message. That's the whole message. Say that every day, not just to reach America's frustrated young white men, but people of every age, race, and gender.
Late-stage capitalism is a wealth-concentration engine, focused on vacuuming up every dollar and putting it in as few hands as possible. Republicans are helping that vacuum suck.
How does a tiny fraction of the population get away with this? They do it by dividing the other 99% of Americans against themselves."

You're kidding! Did you not see that Aztec?!?!

...I don't think Porsche has ever made an ugly car.
Well you did say "car" but I'm sure you are familiar with the Porsche Cayenne. It makes me die a little inside.

I am on a quick lil break but I thought I would list a few (almost too many to mention).

-Pontiac Aztec (a 12 year old designed it with broken legos)

-Nissan Leaf (it upsets me greatly that this exists, Nissan as a whole should be fired for this, ugh, lost my appetite)

-Porsche Cayenne (looks like an overly glorified and expensive designer womens hair dryer)

-Scion xA (depends on the day of the week for me, but usually it just looks like a stack of soggy pancakes)

-Toyota Echo/1st Gen Prius (indistinguishably weak, desinger was 100+ yrs old and owned 35 cats)

-GM EV1  (good job @$$holes, now no one wants an electric. Starting a trend, enter the "Leaf")

-2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo  (Few people know it was desgined and made with a septic extruder)

-Pontiac Trans Sport (looks like failed Star Tours ride)

Might add 30-40 more in a bit. Sticking with US availability because I don't want to offend other countries and cultures bad tastes.

Old as hell, but funny as hell....

I almost bought a baja and the only reason I didn't is because there was no behind/underseat storage.  That being said, I don't agree with it being more ugly than an aztek.

you WHAT?!

(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.
