iMav is Geekhack.

Kids today don't know their GH history
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

If you look in the off-topic section, I think there is more than only keyboards here. I think people here connect with other people because we all have in common that we like / appreciate quality and perfection. Aside from keyboards, there are threads on vapers, shoes, audio boxes, headphones, mouses, cars, fountain pens, etc. And all these topics are about the beauty of design and the quality of manufacturing. And in this society of disposable everything, I think that people who truly and deeply (like a philosophy or way of life) appreciate quality and beautiful products being build that go beyond a "minimal viable" product are becoming increasingly scarce.

Which is why this forum (still) exists.
