Did someone say sphericals?

Wish I got some that would have fit on the rest of the mods, that would have been sexy!

Thank you to everyone who has posted pics.  I'm still in two minds whether I would have paid $75 for a bag (including shipping), but probably not.  There are some nice keycaps, but a lot I would not use either.

Enjoy the little gems you find :)

Id say no way for 75$. It was more for the fun of it than anything else, I think in total I spent 45 including two caps I purchased separately. Much more than that and I wouldn't have done it.

Yeah, anyone want to trade? I am looking for novelty, and some of those standard white, pink, moggle stuff.

And whoever wanted those green shifts, they seem to be a smaller size than my Das. I have some If you still want some.

Wow, those white/blue ones look sharp.

As always, I miss out on this and end up missing out. Also as always, I'm interested in weird/odd/different stuff. Maybe this year I'll put together a list of what looks good and someone will trade.

Glad everyone was able to participate.

Some of you sure got some fun-keys. I don't regret not getting my own bag as seeing all the pictures of everyone else stuff is just as much fun for me without all the work. Someone need to assemble those random 2 digit number keys and make a bingo caller. :))
I really like that ×¸× face key... anyone that want to sell or trade me something for one?

Also after seeing many of those nice low profile sphericals I am totally convinced we need to have a groupbuy for a set of them.

They don't have all needed size in those tall sphericals though unless that has changed since I looked last. Makes it hard to have a full set unless you like big gaps between keys. DSA does not have that problem on the other hand.

Thanks dante! Much appreciated! I like the pun you made with my name haha. One day when I get full sets of these themes in the same profile,  I will surely be making hybrids! Who doesn't like having something different than the rest and a little artsy as well!

And about those of you that don't like low spherical, the grey ones are nice. Rest are not so. And I acctually have. Lots of tall spherical. Had to sort them all out. They mixed in with the blacks. I might have 2 to 3 poker sets. I will get pics after Christmas.

I have a lot of those tsagan sets red controls blue alts and green shifts. Does anyone have normal sized ones to trade? The ones that would fit das. Thanks

So initially I wished I had gotten two. After sorting a bag, I am glad there's not another one. So many keys!!!

If that's not potato, I don't know what is.

Black keys

Grey keys

Colored keys

Keys I thought were unique:

Any idea where some of these are from?

Membrane keycaps...? Didn't expect that lol.

Alps keycaps

Dunno. They have prong stems.

Novelty. Didn't get as much as I thought I would.

RGB sets(?)

I don't know what these are. Is this what's shot into the cap?

This thing is weird. It's got a bigger MX stem, but the tiny black thing has the male portion that the switch usually has.

I am really sad I missed this. So they do this once a year? Dang, this would have been fun to try to complete a mismatched set with or fill in the blanks from the old terminal board set I have. Oh, or glue them to a desk top and then laminate over them with clear sealer of some kind... maybe make a super geeky coffee table?
I stay busy with work and family these days, but I'm still around, lurking.

That white key with the raised black triangle is interesting.  Anyone know what that's from?

it's for a company that makes products for the visually impaired, the small keyboard has several raised shapes to allow the user to interact with there device.

Interesting.

Can you get keycaps with braille instead of standard lettering?

Just askin' as a keycap maker just posted and might know something :)

i dont know of anyone that makes braille keycaps but i havent really done much work in that field.  these shapes dont go into a full keyboard, just an interface with a few buttons.  off the cuff i can see 2 major problems 1- you need distinct tooling for every cap which would be costly and 2- the switches need to be stiff enough to allow a user to feel the braille without depressing the cap and that might be a tough balance

i assume voice recognition or touch typing is a better option for most

Fentek sells Braille labels to skirt those problems.

Also, people might scoff, but pad-printing might work for Braille keycaps.

I like keyboards and case modding.  Everything about a computer should be silent -- except the KEYBOARD!

It's easy to forget just how durable pad printing is.

Fair enough, just asking.  Touch typing might not be good for those not familiar with a keyboard layout (as for your typical hunt-and-peck sighted user).  Voice recognition sounds more useful.

Thank you for that.
