hi there,

Mr Kringle was good enough to give me a Filco Majestouch Ninja for Christmas, and I found this site for more info about customizations etc. So I'm hoping to find how to get the most from my new keyboard.

I'm in the UK an I want to get some way to quieter my keyboard. What are the best method, and where's good to goto buy them?

O-rings will help dampen the noise from bottoming out (when you press the key all the way down).

You can get some from WASD: http://www.wasdkeyboards.com/

Their sampler kit is highly recommended - it contains a few of each of the O-ring types so you can try some to see what effect they have before spending out on a full set.  And if they can ship to Australia reliably, I'm sure they can ship to the UK.  Or you can try their eBay site if you prefer that way.

While $4 is a neat price for some trial o-rings, the 30 odd dollars for the shipping would be a bit much when I could probably buy a full set from the UK. Thanks for the tip though. I'll discuss it some more in the relevant area of the forums.

I suggested the sampler kit as it gives you some of each type of O-ring, plus a few blank coloured keycaps to start your keycap collection.
