Razer, Razer, Razer. What are we going to do with you. It's basically a Deathstalker keyboard with a Star Wars theme. It came out a few months before the Real deathstalker too. I don't get the point of Chiclet keys on a desktop keyboard besides the look, and even Mech. keyboards can top that (with cool little novelty keycaps. I want to see a Chiclet keyboard that lets you switch the M and L keys for Mario and Luigi logos.)

Same with razer, you are mostly paying for the gaming premium and in that case, the novelty tech.

Razer manufacturers the Star Wars keyboard. It's a Deathstalker Ultimate with different branding.

To be fair; this has actually had some work put into it as opposed to the licensed products SteelSeries makes; they just take one of their old models and slap a related graphic on it and call it a day.
So yeah, while Razer's licensed products are pricey as hell, I would still buy them over licensed products from a lot of other brands.

This is the opposite of Steelseries then. They made a Licensed keyboard off a prototype (and the keyboard in the Blade laptop) then changed the lables and made the regular Deathstalker Ultimate...Just waiting for newbie here to come on and say that it's better than all out mechanical keyboards because he paid more for it.

Yes, because it makes so much sense to charge a huge premium for changing the logo and firmware and preloading a professional gamer's settings into a product that's already been built. Oh wait. It doesn't.
Which is why SteelSeries doesn't do that.
QcK M unbranded: $10. QcK M with Warcraft/Diablo/etc: $15. Sensei: $89.99. Sensei Fnatic: $99.99.

Also, you obviously don't own anything from SteelSeries. Otherwise you would damn well know that they don't just "slap a logo" on it. Fnatic has mappings preloaded, MoH has a different firmware, WoW Wireless has preconfigured profiles, list goes on.

I went through a phase about a year ago where I bought several Razer products.  I'll never make that mistake again.  Two of the three products developed significant faults in less than a year, and I figure the third was just a matter of time, so I replaced it before it could crap out on me.

In my opinion, the big thing with this keyboard are the keys above the touch screen. They are tiny displays (actually, parts of one larger display..)

Oh damn, I didn't even see the price. The craziest thing is that it'll still sell at that price. Thinkgeek has the power. Generally if I ever find something on Thinkgeek that I like, I do an amazon search for it first to make sure I can't get it for cheaper.

I do own one of these http://www.razerzone.com/store/starcraft-ii-razer-marauder starcraft keyboards. It would be great if it were mechanical, its a bit flashy for me now but at the time i thought it was neat. I may plug it back in when HOTS comes out just for the novelty of it....

I did the same thing. Bought a BWU, Carcharias, and a DeathAdder Black Edition. I had just discovered Razer about a year ago and though it was super 1337 and all that nonsense. The only thing I don't regret buying is the DeathAdder.

The DeathAdder is awesome. It's what I've got next to me now (and at work!)
The Mamba is pretty nice as well (similar form factor), but I've been unable so far to get a working one (bad build quality, tried 4 different times from Best Buy).

The MoH board is a good example; yes it has better firmware, but that's not why a fan of the MoH series buys a MoH board, he buys it because he wants MoH swag. People don't buy things like the SWTOR board because they want a good Razer board they buy it because they want SWTOR related swag and the Razer board actually looks the part. The firmware in the MoH board from SS has nothing to do with MoH.

When GW2 came out I'll admit I was excited for the possibility of GW2 merch, but then I saw the GW2 mouse SS made which looks pretty much identical to every SS mouse ever made apart from the logo on it. The WoW mice are the only licensed SS mice that actually fit they're purpose; they're MMO mice. They could at least have rebranded their MMO mice for GW2 rather than one of their mice they advertise for FPS use.
