uTRON on Windows 8 x64
« on: Mon, 21 January 2013, 09:35:39 »
So I just installed my shiny new uTRON (http://xahlee.info/kbd/uTRON_keyboard.html) keyboard, but I'm having some trouble getting it to work properly. The keyboard comes with a driver disk, but the drivers are x86 only. As a result, I can't install the drivers, and the keyboard doesn't work exactly right -- the layout is still recognized as a normal English layout so the symbol locations are all wrong. I've changed the language input setting to Japanese in control panel, but that seems to have had no effect.

I realize not many people are using this board, but has anyone gotten one working fully on Windows 8 x64?

Following the instructions here got most things working. The symbols are all in the right places now at least. I'd still like to hear if anyone has the keyboard fully working (TRON mode, kana).
