Where did you try them at? The only shops I know of near me that have mechanical boards is MicroCenter and the Blackwidows they carry at BestBuy.

Just came back from my first trip to the local Fry's... unfortunately all they had were Corsair K90s and I think Blackwidows. Pitiful selection. Micro Center in Richmond, TX had ABS Ducky DK9008 G2 Pros.

PS Reds are probably my favorite stock switch. Lovin' the Ergo Clears now.

My daily drivers are mx red at home and topre at work. You don't have to go exclusively one or the other. Keep both, they go well together!

I tried ergo clears as well, and thought they felt like something in-between the two. For me, they just weren't as satisfying as the complete linearity of reds, or the solid smoothness of topre.

i like reds best of cherry switches, along with ergo clears
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

I ended up going back to that microcenter today and picking up the Ducky 9008 G2 w/reds and I am loving it. I think I am going to order some keycaps tomorrow for it from mechanical keyboards.

I have to say red took me a while to get used to, but it has finally take over brown as my favourite switch.  For the longest time red feel a bit odd for typing but it's absolute awesome for gaming.  But now I have to say I prefer to type on reds  :D

Reds are up there for my favorite switch.  I use a full size red board at work.  When I'm at home I tend to use my topres.

Don't worry its so worth the wait. I never even thought that I would like these, then once I tried them I fell in love. This is by far my favorite switch!

Yeah same here, they better be made by Costar though!

Costar has competition man.  He's right in a way.

Oh yeah, most companies are overrated but what i was stating is that Carter probably doesn't want to do business with them after saying that, lol.
