Hello from Canada
« on: Thu, 07 February 2013, 12:16:24 »
Hey, I have been reading these forums for a few months now and have finally gotten around to joining. Got my first mechanical keyboard (razer blackwidow) around 2 years ago when I started playing Sc2.  I enjoyed using a mechaninal keyboard so much that I decided to get Ducky shine 2 with green LEDs and red switched. So far it has been great and I look forward to learning more about keyboards from experienced people such as yourselves.

Welcome! Always nice to see a new face I am relatively new but I welcome you all the same, hope you have fun and get involved. And as everyone says; hold on to your wallet for as long as you can

Just because I can:D
unless they have some unforeseeable downside (like they're actually made of cream cheese cunningly disguised as ABS)

Welcome to Geekhack!

I like the shade of green on the Shine (using one now) :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Welcome. If you are close to Toronto, there is a meeting of GH members on Feb 21st, in Mississauga. It's a nice place to see people and keyboards.
