Hello GeekHack!
I've come here seeking your sacred keyboard knowledge for I wish to learn the Zen of the clickity-clack.

Welcome to Geekhack!

Hopefully you can find what you're looking for :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Thanks for the warm welcome, guys!  :)  I'm sorry it took me so long to respond  :-[  I'm really crap at that sometimes.

I've been lurking on these boards for a while and have been learning more about switches, keyboards and layouts than I ever thought I would care to know…  Turns out I was wrong  :))

I switched to Colemak from Qwerty about a month ago and am using a Truly Ergonomic 209 since a couple of weeks ago.  So far I like the layout and keyboard but the shortcuts are still messing me up sometimes.  Also, the position of the modifier keys is not to my immediate liking on the TE-209, but hopefully that will change with time.

Welcome!  Vancouver, BC?  There's a couple of us here from that area. :)

Glad to meet another Vancouverite on the board  :)

Welcome!

Vancouver, eh?  Most beautiful city in North America, IMHO.  Strong gaming community there as well, as I recall.

Enjoy the addiction!
