cchan clearing out her cupboards (Wacom Graphire4)
« on: Sun, 17 February 2013, 17:31:29 »
So I've decided to focus my collection more on compact size keyboards because I have a small desk and lots of monitors now.

Wacom Graphire4 Blue - $20 (PRICE REDUCED) - Works just fine but tablet/stylus only because I can't find the mouse. It might come with an accessory pack of replacement nibs if I can find that.
13633-013635-1

Cherry MX11900 - PENDING - $25 - MX blacks, 'putty' colour, PS/2, lasered keys, has F keys off a lasered MY8000 board and a red double-shot Geekhack esc. Also, missing some screws on the bottom. F2, F4, F10, F12, and X don't work.

Cherry MX8113 - SOLD - $30 - MX browns, black, PS/2 curlycord, double-shots, missing one lens off a relegandable key. The strain relief on the cord is broken, but it's okay if you run the cord through one of the side channels.

Dell AT101W - SOLD - $10 - black complicated ALPS, PS/2, lasered keys, just a couple scratches. Never could get the hang of black ALPS.

Laser - $20 - white clicky SMK switches, AT curlycord with PS/2 adapter, double-shots. Has intermittent hysterisis issues on a few keys. Spurious failure. Works fine on a Ziotek PS/2 to USB converter.

I take paypal and ship only within CONUS at cost.

Might be interested in the Cherry MX8113... that's the one with the trackpad built in? How worn are the doubleshots (I guess I can wait til pics are available)?

Also any idea on CONUS shipping?

e: like to call dibs until some photos come up if that's ok!

Which keys suffering hysterisis on the Laser? Are they the all-caps-everything double shots of absurd thickness?
You may interpret this as a tentative dibs, yes. ^^

Lots of pictures posted! Also, answering everyone's questions: (was going to do this yesterday but ended up being ill and taking a long nap instead)

Yep, it's the big one with inbuilt magnetic stripe reader and trackpad. There's a light/moderate amount of shine -- refer to the photos. I'm guessing $12 shipping if you don't mind UPS Ground.

Interested in the Dell 101W. Awaiting pics.

Looks like you are the first to post or PM about the 11900, but there are a couple people ahead of you for 8113.

You may interpret this as a tentative dibs, yes. ^^

Yep, they are the all-caps double shots, I'd say they are just a hair thicker than Cherry double shots.
e: Also, not sure which keys are suffering hysteresis, I will test it out though.

I'd be interested in the 11900 as well!

Looks like you are third in line based on my PM/post timestamps.

I don't actually, the ricercar SPOS has a stripe reader but no touchpad. (Also, there's nothing 'small' about the 8113 lol)

I've tested the Laser board tonight a bit, in fact I'm typing on it now, and I haven't noticed any hysteresis issues. Perhaps double keystrokes were caused by a dodgy PS/2 to USB adapter.

e: I have a lab report to type up in LaTeX tomorrow, so I will give it more exercise, but I'm not anticipating any problems.

Not sure, I dont see a date code on the bottom. But it has the pre-WinXP style Windows keys. Also, I discovered that it's missing several of its screws.

As far as the Laser, I just used it to type my lab report today and it looks like everything works fine. I am going to assume that the hysteresis issues were due to a PS/2 to USB converter that wasn't working properly.

Yep, the Laser board is pending to RootWyrm. I was just testing its functionality because he asked about the hysteresis issue.

e: Damn it! Update on the MX11900 in OP. I took all the boards out to key test them, and on the 11900 F2, F4, F10, F12, and X don't work.

the X doesn't work?

huh. Using a PS/2 adapter or straight into a PS/2 connector?

EDIT: Would you mind posting pics of the PCB? It may be that or just a bad switch.

Yup.. unexpected (massive) expenses are teh suck. :(
And I has a sad - these really are truly wonderful examples of genuine SMK's and I miss having one. And you are just not going to find one in nicer shape anywhere you look.

Thanks for the feedback jabar! Was this the keyboard that I modded the Caps Lock switch with an extra heavy spring?

Oh, you did the mod? I thought the (presumably) Super Black might have come standard.

Either way it was a cool surprise when I was considering doing a software remap of Caps and LCtrl.
