Yes, you need an unused key you can give/gift someone to do that

Ah, yes. You need 1.5 unit modifiers. White on black Cherry modifiers are tough to come by. I only recently got my set, a lucky find at that. If you use an RGB kit with it, you'll save yourself the problem of finding the modifiers.

Ill probably do that then, I'm not particularly set on white on black. And I love the RGB look.

I think you first have to assign every button to it's generic function on a PC first. Like instead of "G1 = left click" set it as "G1 = generic button 1." Then when you bring it to a Mac, all the buttons will send recognizable scancodes.
