Hey
« on: Sat, 23 March 2013, 02:38:13 »
Hey I'm new to this forum and keyboards in general. Never had a mechanical keyboard but am interested in building one. Looking to start from scratch or as close to it as I can without to much coding if I can get away with it. The gh60 caught my attention. I work on pcb's all day long but the only other thing I have build like this before was a cmoy.

On a side note anyone know what size components the gh60 group buy kit uses? I am pretty good with 603 but anything smaller might be a challenge.

Welcome to geekhack!  I'd probably be more fruitful to ask questions about the gh60 in that thread.  But it doesn't take much work to put one together if you buy the more assembled PCB.  Just some soldering of switches and such.  But fair warning, you should probably figure out if you like a mechanical keyboard first, and what type switches.  Building one will end up being way more expensive than buying a new one. :)
