I am looking forward to purchasing a mechanical keyboard (I had a CM Storm Quickfire Pro w/reds but I returned it), and a hoping for advice on what keyboard I should buy for under a 100 (though preferably in the 60-80 range). I've been looking through this site for the last few weeks and have thought of a few keyboards that I would want, and would greatly appreciate any recommendations or opinions.

Back-lit Keyboards:
QuickFire TK (82$)

Non-Back-lit:
QFR (61$)
QFR Stealth (79$??)
QFR with added blank/side-printed Key caps
Ducky DK1087 (80$)
Rosewill RK-9000 or 9000I (64$)

added:
Steel Series 6GV2(black)
Razer Tournament Edition

Hopefully this thread can be helpful to others looking for first time buys or economically priced keyboards so I will update the lists with any recommendations.
Thanks :)

Oh, and I am open to trying different switch types

razer keyboards are often on sale.
they are not bad for the price when you get the tournament edition(tkl) or the fullsize not backlit.

If you're looking at a TKL board, I'd recommend the QFR. IMO, it's the best value for your money in mechanical keyboards.
It does use Costar stabilizers, which you may or may not prefer. (I like them, but that is my personal preference)

Yeah, I'd say QFR for a tenkeyless board. Close to the same as a Filco (same manufacturer) but much cheaper.  I have a few Filcos instead, mainly just because the old QFR had gaudy logos on them.  But I think even the newer non-stealth versions don't have the logos on the top plate.

Any advice on the TK? Back lighting is not a must for me but if I can get back-lit for 80ish I would buy it if the quality is high. Is the quality difference between the Costar ones like the QFR and a board like the TK that noticeable?

thanks
