Hello!

I'm obsessed with mechanical keyboards, but I don't own one! I'm currently getting my fix using my friend's old Dell keyboard with white alps switches on it. I've been after a cherry blue mechanical keyboard for a few months but luck is not on my side. I was after a WASD keyboard but they were always out of blues, then I found the Ducky and Filco TKLs and couldn't stand anything bigger but couldn't afford the price at the time, and now I want a Poker or the Vortex version because they're so compact, but I can't find them anywhere!

I will be watching the classifieds...unless anyone knows where I can get an MX blue Poker shipped to the UK. I'd go after a GH60 but my soldering skills leave a lot to be desired.

Not sure about a poker, but if you're still considering the Ducky/Filco TKL size, a QFR is almost identical in construction to a Filco for a really good price.  (Same manufacturer makes them.) http://www.amazon.com/Storm-QuickFire-Rapid-Mechanical-SGK-4000-GKCL1-US/dp/B0068INSUM (currently $70USD for the grey color w/ blues)

Thank you. I've always wondered what people meant when they said QFR. I didn't realize they mean the CM storm.

Hah, yeah... the lingo around here can be a little hard to decipher.  Never hesitate to ask though... we're not *that* snobby. ;-)

The snobbiness is setting in: when ever I watch YouTube videos about people typing on keyboard switches or giving reviews about keyboards I now get irritated because they can't touch type properly or only use two fingers! I must get back to a zen like state of acceptance.

Please don't judge me :p

I may be importing a Poker with blues from China, I will write up a post about my experiences with the whole ordering process in case it goes badly and the money disappears - or in case it goes well so others can do it too if they're after a poker and they can't find the switches they want.

Thank you for the links. Whenever I checked Amazon they only ever had reds and blacks.

I've been watching the classifieds for some time and If one comes up I'm sure I'll put an offer in. They go fast! If my DIY skills were any better I'd wait for a GH60, but I can't solder to save my life.
