White spray paint for plastic and white PBT caps. Oh, and a kitten, because she is adorable.

Wow, you got some skills turning a keyboard into a cat with just a spray can.

he didn't ruined it.... he just likes it to be white. OP you should of bought new blank white PBT caps and kept the yellow ones or sold them.... That white paint on the caps wont hold much long.

I think it looked great both before and after. My personal preference was the look it had before though. That yellow looks the business. Though I guess you would want to change that anyway if you want to go for PBT.

I still have the yellow keys guys, I only painted the case white and got some thick blank white pbts which feel much better in my opinion. If I really wanted to I could paint the case black again and put the yellow keys back on

About how much are the yellow keycaps worth? I don't think I would want to sell them but maybe a trade

Looks good. But you should have done this to a QFR instead of a limited Filco.

After a few times white/black painting, your keyboard case will become so tight that the keys willl no longer fit in.

Old thread, but ...

I'd pay $30 for (another) set of yellow Filco keycaps :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
