brand new Dell UltraSharp U2312HM 23" IPS LED LCD Monitor - 16: 9 - 8 ms

what settings do you reccomend ? I want everything to look crisp and bright for starcraft 2

cant find good settings everything is kind of yellow and dull compared to my cheaper acer... looks like my acer does when flux is on

SC2 is wayyy to dark even on the brightest settings ... did I get a defective monitor ?

Way too dark? Are you sure you're not just seeing 'black' as opposed to 'washed-out greyblack' you might have been seeing on your old Acer monitor?

I've got a U2711 myself and I use the "Game" preset with brightness set at 100 and contrast set usually between 45-51.

Do you know how to use colour profiles? When I bought mine the store sent me a mail with a lot of attachments. They did some sort of software calibration (whatever that is, not real calibration) and they sent me a load of attachments like calibration software output and all. I don't know if it's any good but figured it can't hurt.

Here, found it, this is the colour profile file, if you want to check it out.

I just bought one of these monitors myself. You can try using this link for a setup. Personally I'm using this setup:

Brightness = 40
Contrast = 75
R = 93
G = 95
B = 99
