A set will count as one, being it is listed as one. You will only get one per person, so a set constitutes that. You can list what you want, in order of relevance, and hope that your top one is available, but if not, he will go down your list until one you have listed is available. That is, if you get in in the first place.

In my experience with dibs items that are super limited, i.e. only one of them, you are not allowed to dibs on. They go to whoever is lucky/fast enough to snag them when the sale opens. CC will PM you with rules when the sale draws near and ask you what item(s) you want and to list some backup options in case that one is taken by another dibster who replied before you. Don't try to weasel extra stuff or make it complicated, the man's already handling the sale and the privilege of receiving a dibs should be enough to keep you happy. Think of it like being in the front of the line for the Soup Nazi, just order your soup and be happy you got it 

Im not trying to weasel anything at all! I have just never been involved in one of these sales because they seem so confusing to me. And I feel that it is easy to be disqualified just because I did something wrong or listed in the wrong format etc.

You say he will PM us as the sale draws near? I highly doubt hes going to PM everyone on GH, because how will he know whos interested in the sale? Ive never even talked to the man and yet I'm supposed to expect a PM from him? He probably doesnt even know of my existence.  Also, I thought we were supposed to send an email to him with our want listed at the time of the sale, not a PM before the sale...

This is why  the dibs thing doesnt make sense to me. "Dibs" is something that gives you the right to have something over other entrants. Simply being first in the line because of speed, is simply winning, every man for himself style. Thus, this "dibs" seems like it just means to exclude others who have won in the past but if me, and others like me who have never won anything in the past enter, it will go to the one of us who is first, correct?

If the above is true, then what does CF mean when he says something about preference to people with "O" or "A" in your dibs ticket...?

Also it wasn't just people missed out on the sale, there were also technical issues from some of the older sales also.

i am not trying to say i think it's unfair that i can't get dibs or whatever. i'm just a bit confused.
And with the small amount of clacks actually being sold here (like 20?) how many 'dibs' are going to be handed out? i was just asking i guess how some many people have dibs, how many will actually be left for everyone else

I don't think anyone besides CC once again knows how many dibs were handed out for this specific sale, but if CC is making available to the public instead of a dibs only sale that can only mean there should be enough for people without dibs. Normally there is quite a few so no need to panic or anything.

Like I said there's nothing to be confused about, if you're not part of the dibs then just disregard it and attempt to buy them like everyone else, I am sure there are more people without dibs then dibs

You don't just get dibs for missing out. I've missed out on every Clack sale since March of '12 and believe you me, I've participated in each and every one of the open sales that were on GH and EK since then. I think it's like the last 12 sales I have left empty handed. Trust the man that there will be enough for regular folks to at least get a chance at them. That or you could just wait a few weeks after the sale when the parasites try to leech big money in the classifieds.

CC has had sales in the past. Some people get in. Those who try and don't succeed sometimes receive an email notifying them that they have been chosen for leftovers that people don't pay for or (presumably in this case) receive a "dibs" email for first crack at an upcoming sale. These emails themselves are very limited also. If you get a dibs email, this is your "dibs ticket". If you have never participated in a clack sale, you just take part in this sale as usual and if you don't get in then maybe next time you will get "dibs" or leftovers. It's just clacks way or rewarding people for their patience and spreading the love.

Yeah, after refreshing the page and seeing those... I think that's all ill ask for. Wanted a WASD/arrow cluster since I knew they existed, not to bothered with the rest.

After looking at all the clacks in the classifieds came to the conclusion I pretty much love my current set up, and that the only thing that could improve it would be a wasd/arrow cluster, so if I get in ill be over the moon and if not I can still be really happy with my board that I've managed to put together over the last 5months or so
