Keyboard Layout Diagrams
« on: Sun, 14 April 2013, 09:34:31 »
I've seen a few variations of people proposing keyboard layouts and they show these nice graphics of what they look like.

Like most of the diagrams here

I did find a site that would let you lay out a keyboard using a text notation of width of each key, letter, etc, but I seemed to have lost it.

So...what sites/programs will allow me to easily create a layout diagram?

On a side note, I've seen some people have keyboard graphics in their sigs.  Are those hand done or is there a program for that too?

Matt30 made a layout generator website but I don't remember the link of the top of my head. When I'm at home later I'll link you.

The keyboard pixel art signatures came from this thread.

I don't know about matt3o's but neophyte has one on his page:

Personally, I prefer the older one with the text-entry and massive URL
http://ne0.cc/laygen/

The quickest way i found want to get a blank layout and just handwrite in your layout. Its also easy to make changes.

The older one is the one I had found before.  Bookmarking it now, thanks.

With that info I found neophyte's thread on it on DT

Crap, dorkvader is right. I meant ne0phyte's. I confused that with matt30's color layout generator. Thanks for the help dorkvader!

matt30 actually announced a layout generator (in Java IIRC), but never published it AFAIK.
