Keyboards & GPU for sale! (FK-2001, 1992 M, ATI 4870)
« on: Thu, 18 April 2013, 17:03:54 »
Hey, all. In the spirit of summer i'm looking to start up a couple of hobby projects, and to offset the cost of tools and materials I'm looking to sell some old stock that I don't seem to use much anymore. I'm selling everything as-is and buyer pays shipping. If you want me to break these down and clean them up (a good soak and rinse in an oxy-clean solution) I can do that for like 10 bucks a board. 20 bucks if you want me to reapply the TIM with high quality Prolimatek PK1 on the 4870 (it still has stock TIM) before shipping out.

Would also be willing to trade for:
Good quality (used, presumably) soldering/desoldering equipment. Currently looking at the Hakko-888 and a ~$20-$30 soldapullt solder sucker
OR
Dead boards, either ones that need a simple repair job or a donor board. Specifically ones sporting MX Clears if possible, but i'll consider any offer.

KBs:
FK-2001

PS2 connector. Works fine and i've used it as my daily driver for a while now, but the keys are a little grindy. Doubleshot ALPS caps. A little dirty as it's my daily driver. Does not come with dust cover. weird discolouration on the Q and S and the D is cracked. ~55 bucks OBO

"Laser" branded mystery board

AT connector. Haven't used it much as it doesn't have winkeys and has a severely odd layout. Not an unpleasant switch, clicky and tactile but not very heavy. Doubleshot strange caps. No clue what it's worth, shoot an offer.

'92 grey label Lexmark Model M

PS2 connector. In pretty good shape, a couple scuffs but, all in all, pretty minor. This board was filthy when I first got it but I cleaned it up. No bolt mod, everything stock on it. Hesitant to sell this as I DO like the board, but don't NEED the board. Somewhere around $60 bucks, maybe?

ATI 4870 1 GB Single Fan

Works good. Good cheap mid-range card for somebody who doesn't need the latest and greatest. Been overclocked modestly in the past. Have never changed the TIM on it. $60

I'm CONUS, and i'll ship anywhere at the buyer's expense, but, of course, hold no responsibility for the postal service's screwups. If you want insurance on the item, you'll have to pay me for it. I feel for you if your package gets lost but I wasn't the one who dropped it off the side of the cargo boat. I'll ship it however you want, but for most parcels Priority Mail CONUS is the best option.

Feel free to haggle on the prices, they're flexible. As much as I don't really WANT to get rid of this stuff, I have to come to terms that I don't need it anymore. Make some offers.

Thanks and happy buying.

EDIT: had pics up, but I'll have to host them elsewhere as the site took a dump when I tried to post em.

EDIT2: I would honour a DOA warranty on these units, if anybody is concerned about getting a dead board or card. I've done a few buys and sells here in the past, all luckily without issue for both parties. let's try to keep it that way. To the best of my knowledge all these units are in full working, good condition unless otherwise stated.

throw a little bump on this.

Remember, you can play with those prices a bit. Haggle or throw something for trade on the table and we can talk about cash from either side with it too.
