Black Switch Keyboard?
« on: Sun, 12 May 2013, 21:04:32 »
Hi. I had Steelseries 6GV2 with black switches previously and now I am looking for another black switch keyboard that is not the 6GV2.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I want something that isn't too expensive (around $120), good quality, and preferably a tenkeyless or 60% board.

Thanks.

Cooler Master Quickfire Rapid, Filco TKL.  There are a lot of vintage MX black boards, but they tend to have 2 KRO.

The Poker 2 could also be a good choice.

If you are buying a Quickfire get one while you can.  MX Black's have been discontinued in favor of MX Greens.

Hot damn! That is a ballsy move considering Blacks were THE gaming switch before Reds were rediscovered...

Now that greens are in demand, people are saying the greens are the new black.

Except greens click and blacks are smooooth ;)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
