USA vs Switzerland, hockey
« on: Sat, 18 May 2013, 13:55:06 »
Anyone watching the game?

I think its awesome that the swizz cheese are playing this good. Even though it would be easier to face USA in the finals rather than Switzerland for my fellow Swedes :p

It's been a great game so far, Gibson has been the reason the US is still in it.  Switzlerland is really bringing it.

Perhaps, but that top line of Loui Eriksson and the Sedin twins can really bring it offensively.  Should be a great game either way.  I'm watching it through some lame stream on the internet.

I was disappointed by USA performance, especially after how they destroyed Russia (thanks!).

I was at the group stage games and from what I saw over there, it was just a mess. good thing that the Sedin twins coming in and boosting the morale of the troup.

For the first time ever I wont even be a little upset if Switzerland win this. They deserve it more then anyone.

I guess the Swiss now don't care anymore that they didn't make it into the Song Contest final.

Na, without the "comedy commentary" they had on the Austrian Radio/TV it isn't funny anymore, just laughing at the bad performances isn't enough. :p

boo at you.
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.
