The keyboard on which the CM Quick Fire TK was based on, PLUM 96.

It works wired or wireless, has POM keycaps on the black version, it's PCB mounted and uses Costar-style stabilizers. The quality is quite good from what I've heard. You can buy it here:

It also has a more standard bottom row of caps as opposed to the TK.

Not the PLUM 96, but according to its advertising, it does comes with all the LED holes drilled and probably the circuit ready so you can modify it and make it become a backlit keyboard, though you'd have to buy the 3mm LEDs, diodes, solder them, test them and get some keycaps made for backlit keyboards "borrowed" from some other keyboard and put them on it.

Why didn't they make it backlit from the start? Well, besides the higher price, the battery (two AAA batteries) only lasts 1 week on wireless mode. Now, make it backlit and anyone can guess it won't last more than a few days or even a single day.

But well, the Morphling PLUM KB-87, which is PLUM 96's younger brother is backlit and it's the world's first mechanical keyboard that's backlit and wireless at the same time.

Though its layout is Tenkeyless and not the same as the 96.

it's a really cool layout, and part of why i like the model F AT so much..

sadly not a lot of keyboards have it.

does anyone actually own the PLUM? I'm quite intrigued by it.
Most of the modding can be done on your own once you break through the psychological barriers.

I really wanted one because I'd like a wireless keyboard with a numberpad thats not full size.....but other than TaoBao have not seen one for sale, and I believe most listed on TaoBao or actually out of stock.
