WTB stabilizer repair services

I broke one of my spacebar stabilizers somehow on my poker and I need somebody to fix it ;_;  Pictures included below



I know you cant see it well but it's cracked at the top and pulled out of the slot.  it's plate mounted on a red acrylic plate which may or may not be cracked as well.  quote me please!

The acrylic is definitely cracked at the front edge... and sure that's an acrylic plate but those are PCB mount stabs.  There's a decent chance the whole thing needs to be torn down (all switches desoldered).

If it's PCB-Mount stabilizers, then why cant you just push it back in?... The cracked acrylic plate could just be ignored as it isn't really visible.

It's actually PCB-mounted, and you can tell because plate-mounted stabilizers have the extra notches and 4 little corner posts where the stem is. It looks like that top part of your acrylic is cracked as well, but that shouldn't affect the stabilizers. Just from looking at it, I'm not sure there is enough clearance on the plate to remove the stabs. You might have to desolder every switch and remove the plate before you can remove the stabs, like alaricljs said.

Try to just push it back down on the PCB instead. I might have just popped up from the holes.

I can help you in the summer if you haven't found someone to fix it by then.

I can tell you I've tried to push it in quite hard already and if it's pcb mounted that makes me far more terrified of pushing it in too hard and cracking the pcb. how hard should I be pushing?

You shouldn't need much force. Each stabilizer piece should have 2 holes on the PCB; a larger hole and a smaller hole. The stabs should have 2 parts sticking out on the bottom. One part, you can slide it in and hook it onto the larger hole, the other side can be pushed into the smaller hole until it locks.

it would be easier to see if I could see the actual holes. it seems the entire stab is just crooked. it's the spacebar stab if that has any bearing on difficulty

Take the PCB/plate assembly off the case, and you can see the holes for the stabs from the bottom of the PCB. You can see if they're aligned properly or popped out.
