Programming the KMAC Pad
« on: Tue, 04 June 2013, 13:00:36 »
Hello all!

So, I bought a KMAC Pad.  I want to program it to do one of two things:

Either,

1.  Turn off the purple LED completely

Or,

2.  Flip the macro layer and the normal layer around so the purple LED lights up on the macro layer, rather than the normal layer.

I've already programmed my KMAC Mini, so I know how to use the software, but I'm missing two key pieces of info, and Google has turned up nada.

Two pieces of info i'm missing:

1.  What kind of controller is used (same as KMAC Mini?)

and...

2.  How to put the KMAC Pad into programming mode.

Thanks for your help!

The programming mode button is the FN key up top. What do you mean by what kind of control? The controller is a ATMega32u4, if that's what you were asking.

Sure, any time. Having played with the KMAC software, I think you can toggle the LEDs during FN mode. I am not 100% sure on this, at least with the current firmware.

It wasn't programmed that way, but I did see the command in the drop-down menus for the keys, so it is definitely possible to program.  I might do it tomorrow :)

Were you ever able to have any success with this? Trying to do the same right now.
