Will HHKB Pro 2 keycaps fit on a HHKB Pro JP?
« on: Mon, 10 June 2013, 23:39:17 »
I think that a HHKB Pro JP would look awesome with blank keycaps, so I'm looking at the HHKB Pro 2 blank keycap set from the PFU site. http://www.pfu.fujitsu.com/direct/hhkb/detail_keytop.html
Because the HHKB Pro JP doesn't have this option. http://www.pfu.fujitsu.com/direct/hhkb/detail_keytop-projp.html

I'm still very new to keyboard technicalities, and I'm wondering if the Pro 2 keycaps will fit on the Pro JP? (I'd only like to swap the letter keys.) Maybe I'm missing something, because the Chrome translation isn't exactly great. Also, the Pro 2 keycap set is 4,500 yens, which at ~45 dollars makes me ask whether I can find a set of blank PBT caps cheaper.

I've also been searching for O-rings that will fit on this keyboard, but all the 'HHKB silent mod' threads that I've found either showcase self-cut O-rings or don't give details about where to buy them. Also, I haven't been able to find anything about adding (more) O-rings to a Type S. Does anyone happen to know where can I find ready-made HHKB-Pro-JP-Type-S-compatible O-rings?

Thank you very much!

If only going for the alpha keys, it will be compatible except for around the ISO enter (you may need to use some of the printed keys there).
