I never really got into baldur's gate, but Planescape Torment is an excellent old school rpg; Anyone played it?

I need to play Planescape Torment again. Classic. I never had the chance to play the Balder's Gate series but I heard Balder's Gate 2 was the best by far.

One thing I'm worried about though is that Overhaul Games (developer) is in some kind of feud with Atari (publisher), and the main developer said something about being disheartened and losing the motivation to even developing more for this game and future projects. Right now, the new update/patch for the Balder's Gate Enhanced Edition is on lock down or something and might not even see the light of day. Kind of sad really.

Has anyone who owned the game previously actually felt the need to buy this? And if so, would you say it's worth it?

I haven't owned it but I have heard and read that the additions made to the game are rather significant Like adding NPC's, more missions, areas, and redone voice overs.
